Brooke and Tomas Engagements

Brooke and Tomas are such an awesome couple. I absolutely loved shooting this session because these guys are so smoking hot and were so easy to photograph. We decided to do a mixed engagement session with some day shots and finish with some sweet night shots. After finishing up with the day portion, we headed over to California Pizza Kitchen to let the sun go completely down and get to chat some more. Tomas plays guitar which is always awesome in my book. I want to learn to play acoustic guitar very badly. Anyways, here are a few highlights from our session.

Camilla Bridal session

Ok, so sorry about my absence. I just attended the most awesome photographers workshop held in Chicago this whole week. I thought I might have had a chance to do some blogging while I was away, but we worked non stop from dawn to dusk. This is an awesome bridal session I did for Camilla back on the 27th of May. I just shot her wedding on 6/7/08 before I left for Chicago, so wedding pics coming soon as well. Camilla is just the sweetest person ever and I had such a great time shooting her bridals. Special thanks to her mom for coming along and helping out.

Christy and John

Sorry about the delay folks, I have been shooting non stop and editing non stop. Tis the season for weddings. Anyways, back to where we left off. Within minutes of finishing Abby and Matt's engagements, I met up with Christy and her fiance John. Christy and I go way back. We were BESTEST buddies in high school and were inseperable. So when she called me and told me she was getting married, I was so happy for her. Christy is so sweet and my favorite thing about her is her sense of humor. We have spent many a time just laughing and goofing off together. Anyways, here are some from that session. I will be leaving tomorrow for Chicago and won't return until Friday afternoon, but the good news is I should finally be able to take a break from editing my life away and actually catch up on all my blogging :) So stay tuned and check back this week to see what else I have been up to ;)

Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees

Time for another Big D music video :) I have always been a big fan of Radiohead and grew up watching MTV when they actually played music videos all day, and Radiohead had many a music video that I watched. This song is so awesome and I rediscovered it when Radiohead just released their best of album on iTunes yesterday. Anyways, just a little something to tie you over til my next picture post ;) Let me know what you think of the song :)

Abby and Matt Engagements

Ok, sorry, had a very busy wedding with back to back wedding shooting on Friday and Saturday. This is the first of two engagement sessions that I did on Monday of last week. Abby and Matt were originally planning on getting married on September 20th of this year in the Newport Beach mormon temple, but when they heard I was already booked, they decided to move the date to September 19th :) So I can't wait to fly out to Cali for their wedding. It was raining a little bit before the session, so I hopped over to Office Depot and picked up an umbrella, and wouldn't you know for the whole session, it maybe dropped 2 or 3 sprinkles and was fine the rest of it, lol. Oh well, we thought it would still make a cute prop.

Matt was kind enough to drop me a little email on Wednesday and it made my day, I thought I would share it with you all.

Thanks again for the passion your exhibit in your work and the effort you made on Monday to go above and beyond for us. I, like many guys you've seen before I'm sure, did not come into our photo session looking forward to posing and "looking cute" for two hours, but you quickly made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to show how I feel about the gal I'm marrying under the scope of a camera. I'm glad Abby found you and that you will be the one seeing my through all the picture shenanigans. Be prepared for more reference to come your way!
