Night Shoot in SLC

So last night I went to a photographers get together in SLC at Brody's studio. We had a blast hanging out and eating Panda Express and talking about photography. After the meeting, we did a little night shoot to learn new ways of shooting. My great friends Rebekah and Stacy were our models for the night. Here were a couple of my favorite shots from the session.

Bridal Fair Wedding Package Winners

I want to thank everybody who stopped by to see us at the bridal fair. It was nice getting to meet and talk to so many great couples. There were so many entries that we decided to give away two wedding packages. The two winners have been drawn and I am just waiting to get a hold of them to make sure they accept the packages. As soon as I am in touch with them and they agree to winning, they will have until Friday to come and pick up their certificates. If they are not claimed by Friday, another lucky couple will be drawn from the box. I will be posting the winners very shortly so stay tuned.....

Wedding Festival Bridal Show

We just got home from doing the South Towne Expo Center's Wedding Festival Show, and it was a blast. We got to meet and talk with so many fabulous brides and couples. As those of you know that visited my booth, I held a drawing for a free wedding package valued at $1300. I will be drawing the lucky couple first thing tomorrow morning and posting the winner here on my blog tomorrow afternoon after they are contacted and accept the package :) Below is a photo of my booth and one of my absolute favorite vendors there Amelia's Floral They did all of the boquets for the fashion shows as well as the backdrop floral display on the stage. Yesterday, I photographed bridals for Cecilia at Ivy Lane Reception Center in Ogden. Can I just say that Cecilia looked amazing. She was such a good sport too for having to put up with me acting goofy to get her laughing and smiling. I can't wait for the wedding next month, it's going to be a blast. Cecilia has such a happy go lucky personality and it's hard not to be happy as well when I am around her. Here are a couple of my favorites from the day.

Union Station Bridal Fair

So tonight, I stopped by the Union Station Bridal Gathering to see my friend Rachael's booth and help her out for the bridal fair. While I was there, I ran into an amazing cake vendor named Creative Desserts and they had some amazing cakes and their prices were awesomely low. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a wedding cake. Here were just a couple of the cakes they had displayed.

Cool New Wedding Mapper

I found this awesome Wedding Mapper site the other day on one of my absolute favorite photographers blog. I thought it was a neat alternative to mapquest as you can place pins at your ceremony, reception, hotels, dining, attractions, etc and customize the map. You can add links and descriptions on all of your custom places and your guests can click on get directions. You can even set it to satellite view to get a true view of the land. You can easily email and post the map on your wedding website. It is free to register.

Utah Bridal Solution

I just loved this motivating video found on one of my favorite photographer's blogs. I truly believe that the power of thought is amazing. I believe that you can achieve goals and live your dreams by harvesting positive thoughts and eliminating negative ones. This year I know I can (and will) lose 50 lbs. Thanks Lindsay Jane for allowing me the oppurtunity to second shoot with you last night in down town SLC. Megan and Bryce were just a gorgeous couple and were so fun to shoot. It was below freezing and we were all numb by the end of the shoot, but we got some killer shots. Here are a couple of my favorites from the shoot. New Years Resolution

As my new years resolution, one of my goals is to lose 50 lbs this year. I love my nike+ipod system as it has really motivated me to get back into shape and to run more often. I am hoping that after losing the 50 lbs at the end of the year, I will be ready for my next goal, to run a marathon in 2008. So watch this post and make sure to keep me motivated and on track, if I start slacking, be sure to remind me daily :) If I don't complete my goal, I will be shaving my beautiful sexy supermodel hair, but don't hold your breath ;)

My Best Friend Rachael

Tonight I was going over some of my old pictures and I came across these pictures of my best friend Rachael and her husband Mike. I shot them last September at Antelope Island. They wanted a sexy and romantic photo of them to hang up in their new house. They are so perfect together and so darn good looking. I met Rachael last year at a bridal fair and we immediately became great friends. She has 4 boys and is an awesome wedding photographer. We have grown so close over the last year and I absolutely love hanging out together. We would do anything for each other and I am so glad to have you guys in my life. Thanks for always being there for me Rach. You are the best!!!!
