Date night with Tavis and Leslie Johnson

So last night, my great photographer friend Tavis Johnson and his wife Leslie joined Tiffany and I for a night out on the town. Tavis and Leslie have to be two of the sweetest people I know and we were sad when the night was over. Tavis is an uber talented photographer and they are such a hot couple. I will be shooting an engagement type session for them on Tuesday, and I am so excited. We went out to dinner at Thaifoon Asian restaurant in SLC and following we went to see Batman: The Dark Knight. Such an awesome movie. Afterwards, we hung out at Hagen Daaz's for some ice cream and sat around shooting the breeze. We were all in a conversation when all of a sudden Tiffany freaks out and says "what the heck is that?!?!" what looked like a mouse from afar turned out to be a baby bat crawling across the pavement. Jonathan and Brooklyne Groomal Session

Ok, I am frantically trying to stay on top of the blogging, as well as shooting every single day this week. Here is a groomal session I did for Jonathan and Brooklyne. I absolutely loved Brooklyne's birdcage veil and feather. Her dress was absolutely gorgeous and Jonathan looked as sharp as a tack. There is never a dull moment when being around these two. They have such a great sense of humor. Which one is your favorite?

Brittany

Did you guys miss me? heheheh. Bet you all thought I died because it's been so long since I have posted. Well let's just say that my wife Tiffany went back to work part time and school full time, so that leaves me at home with 3 little rugrats when I used to do my blogging. I have come to appreciate my wife a lot more though, I don't know how she does it, I am losing my mind not being able to get work done watching the kids, and yet, she gets work done, homework, cleans and still takes care of the rugrats. She is amazing.

Anyways, so I shot Bridals for Brittany a little while back at Memory Grove and it was a blast. I can't wait for her wedding next weekend up in Eden at the Red Moose Lodge. It is going to be gorgeous. Here were a couple of my favorite from the session.

Sarah and Travis

What a beautiful day for pictures. It was supposed to rain the day we shot Sarah and Travis' engagements, but I think the clouds made for some very awesome shots. These two were so fun to work with, I can't wait for the wedding in Park City. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Michelle and Matt

On Thursday, I had quite the adventure shooting engagements for Michelle and Matt. Matt and I go all the way back to Jr High. I looked up to him a lot in High School. He is such an awesome guy and is so humble. I can totally see how he was able to sweep Michelle off her feet. They were so easy to photograph because they have perfect chemistry, these two were made for each other and they are so affectionate with each other. I am so happy for these two and I know they will last forever. After we got done shooting the photos and were headed home (we all rode in my van), I suddenly got a flat tire in downtown SLC, so I pulled over. Matt and I hopped out of the car to find we had a two for one special, not only did I have one flat tire, but I had two (both on the same side). I was stressing out and felt so bad for holding them up, but they were totally cool and understanding. Matt even saved the day by calling his AAA people and having them come out and fix the flats. Without him, I would've been stuck out there all night long, and on top of that, Michelle bought us dinner even though I insisted on paying. We had a long ride home taking the back roads, but it was fun getting to know these two even better. I can't wait for their wedding in June.

Twice the Love

Last Sunday, I did something I quite honestly have never done before, I shot two couples at the same time. Brittany and Sunny are cousins and are both getting married in August. I used to work with Sunny at Citigroup. So, since they both wanted SLC engagements, they figured we could all just shoot them on the same day. We had a blast and it was nice killing two birds with one stone. Brittany and Blake were such good sports and were so fun to shoot. Sunny and Brandon were hilarious and had so much fun.
