Dixie Family Photos

Meet Dixie and her adorable family. I met Dixie about 3 years ago when I was just starting out in photography. She worked at the photo lab where I developed my photos. One day when I came to pick up my film, she asked me how I made a certain picture look how it did and I told her how to do it. I never really saw her after that and a couple months ago she emailed me out of the blue to compliment me on how awesome my work has gotten and how inspiring my photos are to her. She is now a massage therapist so if anyone is feeling a little stressed, let me know and I'll pass along her info :) Anyways, she asked me to shoot her family photos since it has been years since they have had them done, so I was honored to accept. Here are a couple of my favorites :)

Cameron Alexander Izatt is here!!!!!

It has been a very long night!!! Tiffany and I went to a photographers get together at Brody Dezember's studio last night and as we were leaving about 8:30, she started contracting 5 minutes apart and was in a lot of pain. So we headed to the hospital :) At 5:02 AM, my first son Cameron Alexander was born weighing in at 10 lbs and measuring 22 inches long. I might be kind of prejudice, but look how darn handsome he is. He cried a little bit when he was born, and when he had his first sponge bath, but so far in the past 12 hours, he has been so quiet and content. I just came home for a change of clothes and am now heading back to the hospital, but thought you guys might like to see some photos, so here you go. Thanks so much to all my family and friends for the support they have given. I will be posting some photos soon of a wedding from Saturday and some engagements I did on Sunday, so stay tuned.

Lindsay's Family Portraits

This past weekend, one of my great photographer friends Lindsay Jane needed some family portraits done and wasn't keen on the idea of using a tripod and self timer, so she asked me to give her a hand. She had family come into town and stay in Midway. She paid for me and my family to stay in a nice resort in town and it was nice to escape the city for awhile and head out to the country. My girls were so excited to go on a "vacation" with mom and dad, even though it was only 60 minutes away from home. We brought our swim suits and took a dip in the pool after checking in because my girls absolutely love swimming. Lindsay and her family happened to be swimming as well so we got to do a little chatting and meet some of her family. The next morning we woke up early and shot the photos. It was freezing, but the scenery was beautiful. The pictures turned out nice, but it helps that Lindsay's family is all so darn good looking. Here was my favorite shot from the session. Thanks Lindsay for getting us a room and for being such a good friend :)
