For those of you that haven't checked out Trash The Dress I had some of my photos featured on it and will soon have a link added to their site for brides looking for trash the dress photographers. It is very exciting for me and I love doing trash the dress sessions. One thing that is frustrating for photographers is when a bride is so worried about getting her dress dirty, which is understandable as you paid so much money for it, but at the same time, it really restricts the kind of photos you can take. Why trash your dress? In the words of my great friend Mark Eric
"Go ahead, you know you want to. Trash it. Get it dirty. Get it wet. Roll around in the mud. Drench it in the ocean. Totally trash it.
Why? … Why not? You’ve made a commitment to your husband. He’s your one and only true love, right? Then you’ll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won’t wear it in 20-30 years. So you have two choices:
1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a closet
2) Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it!
Then after you do it- send the pictures to us to publish for all the world to see. What are you waiting on? Call one of the trusted photographers on this page or find one you trust and go trash the dress!
How to submit:
Have your photographer submit a few sample pictures and and optional story of how and why you trashed your dress! Of course, the photographer will need to give us permission to publish the pictures . We will gladly put a link up for all “trash the dress” photographers! E-mail your submission to mark@markeric.net.
So send in your story, and your pictures!"

Kayci Trashes A Dress Too
Yesterday Kayci and I had an absolute blast trashing her dress. She was so willing to do anything and was such a good sport. She got into the freezing water of the Great Salt Lake and rolled around in the sand for me. We got so many killer shots it was hard to narrow it down so I am posting a lot of my favorites. You can view more by viewing the slideshow link below.

Tawsha Trashed Her Dress!!!!
This morning I had the pleasure of shooting my first ever Trash The Dress session in SLC for Tawsha. Tawsha got married March 17, 2006 and didn't have a professional photographer for her wedding and never got bridal photos, so when she saw my Trash The Dress post, she wanted to trash her dress as an anniversary present for her husband. So we found the dirtiest places we could in SLC and went to town. She was such a good sport and got down and sat in some dirty dirty places. Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the shoot. Also, check back on Tuesday for another trash the dress session!!!

Calling All Past Brides!!!!
Calling All Brides!!!! I am looking for a couple of past brides who have been recently married that would be interested in doing a FREE Trash The Dress Shoot. Is your wedding dress sitting around and you have thought about selling it? Well I am looking for brides that would be willing to put that wedding dress back on for one more go and an oppurtunity to get some killer shots that you wouldn't have dared to get before the wedding. What better way to let your husband know how much you love him then trashing your wedding dress, it says that you won't need it again and that he is the only one for you. Any brides that would be interested in doing a Trash The Dress Session will receive a FREE photoshoot and a FREE CD of the session in return for helping me build my Trash The Dress Portfolio. Anyone interested in participating or if you have a friend who recently got married, let them know about this and email me. I have one Trash The Dress session lined up in about a month so check back then for some awesome photos.
