Casey and Megan 09/08/2007

Last Saturday, I was up at Solitude Mountain Resort for Casey and Megan's wedding. It was an absolute blast and was so full of emotion. These two were made for each other and are so laid back. I don't remember the last time I cried so much at a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and I adore this couple to death. Sorry for all the pictures, but I had a tough time narrowing it down to 20. Enjoy.

Tagged

Ok, so I am finally getting around to posting this. I have been tagged by about 5-6 other photographers which is a blog game going around where I am supposed to post 8 random facts about myself that no one really knows. So here it goes....

1. I am the biggest scaredy cat on the planet. I am afraid of grasshoppers, pray mantises, spiders, lightning, terrorists, strong wind, flying, sharks, and heights. One of my greatest fears ever though would be for one of my children to die before I do, I don't think I could ever get over it.

2. In the 4th grade, I shot myself with a gun... well it was a co2 powered b.b. gun and it was in my hand, but I had to go to the doctors to get the b.b. surgically removed.

3. I am very sensitive and cry on most disney movies, chick flicks, and even on some commercials. The first time my wife heard me cry was watching Rigoletto and to hide my crying, I would laugh so it sounded like I was laughing. I still laugh, but it doesn't fool her anymore.

4. One of my nicknames while me and my wife were dating was Big Bird because our church was having a halloween dance and my friend misinformed us that it was a dress up dance. So Tiffany and I went and rented a big bird costume for me and a cookie monster costume for her. Needless to say, we were the only ones dressed up at the dance, we felt like total idiots, lol. So I started calling her Cookie Monster and she called me Big Bird.

5. A lot of people don't know that I dropped out of high school in 10th grade. The only class I went to was Drivers Ed for my license. I did get my GED and applied that towards my Diploma and graduated a year later than I was supposed to, but I was glad I went back and finished.

6. I am addicted to Play-Doh. My favorite ice cream flavor is Play-Doh. I love the smell of Play-Doh. I keep a container of Play-Doh at my computer desk and when I feel stressed, I just give it a big whiff. Reminds me of days gone by and childhood memories and just takes the stress away.

7. In junior high, I was on the school Science Olympiad team and won gold medal two years in a row in the Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils category in which you were challenged on the identification of Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils. I have a mineral collection and still have a passion for them.

8. I have lived in Utah all of my life and have never been skiing or snowboarding.

So there it is. Now I tag whoever else hasn't been tagged and wants to participate :P

Sarah Bridals Layton Park and Fernwood

Oh my goodness gracious, I love this bride. She has such an awesome sense of humor and the best personality. Sarah is so sweet. Even though we have only met when she booked me and when I shot the engagements, I feel like we have always been good friends. We were laughing and joking so much during the shoot. As you can see from the photos, she is so freaking adorable and has such personality. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Heather and Sean - 09/01/2007 Park City

On September 1st, I was up in Park City to shoot the wedding of Heather and Sean. It was an absolute blast and I had such a great time. Park City is one of my favorite places on Planet Earth. 9 years ago in October, Tiffany and I had our first date up in Park City, so it is a very special place to us. Since I was shooting the wedding so late, we rented a hotel and brought the whole family. Heather and Sean are such a cute couple and it was a beautiful ceremony. Here are my favorites :)

Cathy and Steve - Night Engagements

I shot engagements of Cathy and Steve late one night out in downtown SLC. Cathy is the twin sister of Jenni who just married Jared back on June 16th (if any of you want to go back into the archives). Anyways, I was so excited to shoot these engagements because night shoots always turn out so cool and they are so challenging, but you get such dramatic and moody shots. Here are a couple of my favorites from the session :)

Brittany

Did you guys miss me? heheheh. Bet you all thought I died because it's been so long since I have posted. Well let's just say that my wife Tiffany went back to work part time and school full time, so that leaves me at home with 3 little rugrats when I used to do my blogging. I have come to appreciate my wife a lot more though, I don't know how she does it, I am losing my mind not being able to get work done watching the kids, and yet, she gets work done, homework, cleans and still takes care of the rugrats. She is amazing.

Anyways, so I shot Bridals for Brittany a little while back at Memory Grove and it was a blast. I can't wait for her wedding next weekend up in Eden at the Red Moose Lodge. It is going to be gorgeous. Here were a couple of my favorite from the session.
