Cory and Zach Engagements

Meet Zach and Cory. This was a fun and passionate session and these guys were willing to do anything for awesome pictures. We shot various locations around SLC as you will recognize the backgrounds, but this shoot I definetly tried some new poses and compositions to break the norm. I am totally loving the results and you will love some of my upcoming posts, so stay tuned :)

Aaron and Robyn Engagements

Here is an engagement session that I shot for one of my relatives Robyn and her fiance Aaron. These guys are so darn sweet and are so cute together. I will be shooting Robyn's bridals soon as well as their wedding in September. After the session, Robyn and Aaron went out to see the midnight showing of Batman. Well, I am off to shoot a wedding and will be back shortly to post some more :)

Carly Bridals

Another hot bridal session that I shot for Carly. Thanksgiving Pointe is such a beautiful place to shoot and you really can't go wrong with the scenery. As I was waiting for Carly to show up, I was browsing the shops and happened upon the sweet umbrella seen below, so I had to try it out for the shoot. Carly and her cousin Jenni showed up and we began to shoot. It was hot, so we rented a golf cart to drive around the gardens, now that was fun. Quick shoutout to Jenni who just got engaged :) congrats Jenni. Jenni drove all the way up from St George to help out Carly for the bridal session. Anyways, enough of my yapping, check out the sweet photos we were able to capture.

Abby Bridals

This was a really fun session, but come to think about it, all of my sessions are really fun :) Abby looked absolutely stunning and she was totally working the camera. I am so excited for her wedding in Newport Beach California in September.

Date night with Tavis and Leslie Johnson

So last night, my great photographer friend Tavis Johnson and his wife Leslie joined Tiffany and I for a night out on the town. Tavis and Leslie have to be two of the sweetest people I know and we were sad when the night was over. Tavis is an uber talented photographer and they are such a hot couple. I will be shooting an engagement type session for them on Tuesday, and I am so excited. We went out to dinner at Thaifoon Asian restaurant in SLC and following we went to see Batman: The Dark Knight. Such an awesome movie. Afterwards, we hung out at Hagen Daaz's for some ice cream and sat around shooting the breeze. We were all in a conversation when all of a sudden Tiffany freaks out and says "what the heck is that?!?!" what looked like a mouse from afar turned out to be a baby bat crawling across the pavement. Here are some photos from last night taken on my iPhone.

Aubrey Bridals

I really wish I could have done engagements for Aubrey, but they already had some in the works when they hired me. This was such a fun session for me. Aubrey was so photogenic and so easy to shoot. It was really hard for me to pick a favorite, I think I love them all. When my wife saw these, she said one word.... "wowza"

Brooke Bridals

Tomas, if you are here to see Brooke's bridals, go away now, these are worth the wait, I promise ;)

Here is Brooke's bridal session. This was a fun session and STC Digital tagged along to shoot video. I loved Brooke's dress and sunglasses, but my favorite were her shoes, I love when brides have colorful shoes. They definetly fit Brooke's bright personality :)

Marissa and Ismael

Meet Marissa and Ismael. These are some engagements I shot for them a couple weeks ago. Ismael is one funny dude, lol. He had me laughing so hard during the shoot. I can't wait for their wedding at Castlebrook in Layton.

Anica and Tyler Wedding

So July 11th I headed down to Heritage Gardens in Sandy, Utah for the wedding of Anica and Tyler. What a gorgeous event. I always love when wedding DJs have lighting effects because I shoot right into them and get some awesome effects as seen below. Makes for moodier photos. Congratulations Anica and Tyler :)

Camilla and Tim

I was going through my photos last night and suddenly realized I never posted a followup for Camilla and Tim's wedding sneak peak. Here are a few more from their wedding day :)

Sarah and Jeremy Tie The Knot

Ok, so I am finally getting around to blogging Sarah and Jeremy's wedding and I apologize for leaving you guys hanging. Sarah and Jeremy were sealed at the SLC temple on June 26th and had a reception at their friends gorgeous house up in the avenues of SLC. They served the most delicious crepes ever and I'm glad I wasn't on a diet back when I shot the wedding like I am now. I have been editing non stop like a mad man and shooting just as much, but I am so close to being caught up and then I can start posting shoots within 24 hours :) I can't wait. Also, stay tuned because very soon I will have a brand new custom blog, you guys are gonna love it ;)

I almost deleted this one when I was doing my initial edits because it was out of focus, but I really like the mystery and lighting of the shot, so I kept it anyways. I think I'm glad I did.

So here are the kiddos

So if any of you wonder what I do every day almost all day, this is practically it. I sit outside on our swing, and the kids play with the neighbor kids. We swim in our little pool, they write on the sidewalk with chalk, they ride their bikes, and well they just play.
I had to get these shots because i know that we are going to get Cameron's hair cut soon, and those baby curls are adorable!

Making paint with chalk and water, it makes a thick sort of paste.

This would be Cameron doing hand prints, and showing me "look mom...."

So here is another series but this day the kids were playing in the water.
In this one, I love the big image because it shows Cameron being such a boy!

Woo, hoo, lets run and slip and slide, or just run into it and run away!

Okay so this one was pretty darn cute! Madison noticed Aspen playing with her Barbie, so she went over and took the Barbie, and the end is her onorey face that she got them back, but the fact is that Aspen still had them.

Yummm!!! Cherries!

I absolutely adore Holly and all of her family and am so happy that she is getting married to one of the coolest guys ever, Nate. Speaking of Nate, if you are reading this, look away now, you are not allowed to see these til after August 14th ;) More posts coming soon.

Stevie and Nick Engagements

Stevie and Nick have to be one of my favorite couples this year, they are both so relaxed and chill. Not to mention they were made for each other and are smoking hot. You can tell that Nick treats Stevie right and these guys are so happy together. Every time we are together, we talk just like friends who've known each other forever and I feel so comfortable around them. They were willing to do anything for pictures which is always a bonus. We started out with some urban shots in downtown SLC and then finished the night off at Saltair with some awesome dirt bike shots and a gorgeous sunset. They were even so cool as to tread through a bajillion bird carcasses encrusted in the sandy beach and get into the nasty water of the great salt lake. Talk about troopers. I was sad that the sun went down and the shoot was over, so we all went out to grab a bite to eat at the Sconecutter in SLC. I can't wait for the bridal session and the wedding coming up in September.

In case you are wondering about that black shadow in the background off to the right... well that is a rock, not a dead fish, nope, definetly not a dead fish

Tiffany and Dustin by the talented Anna Page :)

So tonight I finally had a night off with no shooting, so Tiffany and I hired my really good friend Anna Page of Anna Page Photography to shoot some photos for us to put on the new website. We shot around downtown SLC and had such an awesome time. After the shoot we went out to dinner with Anna and her husband Jonathan at Romano's Macaroni Grill. Tiffany and I were talking all night about how fun the session was and how excited we were to see the pictures. I decided to check out Anna's Blog to see what she has been up to and lo and behold, she posted some pics of us :) Here it is 12:30 AM and I run into the bedroom to wake Tiffany up to come and see :) I hope Anna doesn't mind, but I borrowed the photo below from her blog, it's one of mine and Tiffany's favorite and we can't wait to see all of the photos. To see the other killer shots she got, go visit her blog. Thanks so much Anna for doing such an awesome job, I can't even begin to express how pleased we are with the photos, you are amazing and we can't wait to see the rest :)

Lindsay and Jonny Groomals Session

Nervousness swept in as I approached the Utah State Capitol. Thoughts began running through my head.... Was I going to get in trouble for shooting on government property? Were there going to be any good spots as I had never shot there before and didn't want to look like a total tool in front of Lindsay and Jonny. As we pulled up to the massive granite building and began walking towards it's cold stone walls, my mind began to ease. We found an awesome light pole and around the corner beheld the most beautiful and romantic light a photographer could ask for. We then slipped into the center courtyard where all was still. The only sounds heard were the tappy tap tap of my camera shutter, the clankety clank of Lindsay's brand new Prada high heel shoes, flirtatious laughs and soft smooches being exchanged between Lindsay and Jonny. These guys are so cute and so playful and radiate happiness. Special thanks to my favorite florist in Utah Audrey of Studio Stems for doing a killer job on the bouquet and boutineer. Do you guys think I succeeded at not looking like a tool? I feel pretty confident I pulled it off ;) Can you feel the love these two share by looking at the pictures? Which are your favorites and why ;)

Lindsey and Doug Engagements

Having only met Lindsey and Doug when they came to book me about a month ago, I had almost forgotten how hot these guys are. My memory was jogged when they stepped out of the car at Memory Grove. Doug immediately told me the plan for the session which I liked very much. What was the plan you ask? It was to dress professional and start out traditional with the poses, then slowly lose clothes and get more playful. These guys win the award for most passionate couple of the year. Some shots have been left out because they are so hot, they would burn your eyes ;)

Here is a senior session I shot for Shaun at the Ogden Union Station. Shaun plays the acoustic guitar which is awesome in my books. I want to play acoustic guitar so bad. Shaun was a senior at Weber High School.

Camping out for the iPhone 3g

As the sun is setting, Dustin and I are sitting in front of the Att store, and we will be here to watch the sunrise....Why you ask? for the new iPhone 3G. We are outside the Main street store in Layton, so if you happen to be driving by stop by, and say hi.

Jonathan and Brooklyne Groomal Session

Ok, I am frantically trying to stay on top of the blogging, as well as shooting every single day this week. Here is a groomal session I did for Jonathan and Brooklyne. I absolutely loved Brooklyne's birdcage veil and feather. Her dress was absolutely gorgeous and Jonathan looked as sharp as a tack. There is never a dull moment when being around these two. They have such a great sense of humor. Which one is your favorite?

Kirra

Welcome Kirra. I work with her mom who is the sweetest person ever, and when I knew that she was pregnant I knew that I would want to get some photos of her coming baby! On Saturday July 5th I went to her house to take some photos and when I walked in I saw this awesome table that had some Asian inspired decorations, and I already had ideas for what I wanted to do on that little table.I was picturing a sleeping baby all curled up, and so sweet and tender, but...it didn't turn out that way, of course, she would have nothing to do with the whole sleeping part of it. I was able to get one shot, so I was a happy camper. Then I went up to her room and I love that her room is decorated in Disney underwater creatures it is so freaking cute! Since I hardly shoot on my own let alone in someone's house I was nervous to do this shoot. I cant wait to join Dustin in the future and be a constant shooter in the business.

Enjoy!
-Tiffany Izatt

This is the table I was talking about

I love babies crying, I don't know if that means that I am cruel, but I love hearing their little cries, and their faces have such emotion.

So what do you think? Should I do this full time?

Christy and John - 6/21/08

I am so behind on posts and it is my personal goal to be all caught up on my blogging in 7 days. I have so many shoots and weddings just waiting to be posted ;) Anyways, One of my best friends Christy tied the knot a few weeks ago and it is with great joy that I make this post. I am so glad that her and John found each other. They make such a perfect couple and both are so energetic and funny. I know these two will make each other happy for the rest of their lives and I am so honored that Christy asked me to be their photographer. After the temple, we all attended their luncheon at the Joy Luck restaurant in Bountiful. If you want some good Orange Chicken, you should give it a try. Congratulations Christy and John.

Happy 4th of July Everyone :)

Hope everyone had a rockin' 4th of July last night :) I think this was the first year Tiffany and I wasn't running an advertisement booth at the Layton fair, so we actually got to spend all day with the kids and family. We went to the parade and then came home to clean up the house for a family bbq. After cleaning we went back to see the booths at Layton Park and ate the same chinese food we eat every year at the booths. Here are just a couple pictures I took of the girls and the fireworks. Cameron is so active and busy, he wouldn't sit still long enough for a shot, lol.

Jonathan and Brooklyne Engagement Session

I love night engagement sessions because it always gives me an excuse to go out to eat when I treat the couples to dinner :) We started out in downtown SLC and also went out to Romano's Macaroni Grill, yummy. We then finished up in the dark of the night. Special thanks to my main man Tavis Johnson for coming along and helping me out with the session. Jon and Brooklyne even brought along their dog Chloe for a couple shots :P Too cute.

Blogging...and Comments

I just have to say...from my perspective...I have had so much fun this past week checking out others blogs and commenting on them. I know how excited Dustin and I are to get blog comments, so I thought, what the heck I'm going to share the love and check out others. So that is what I have been doing the past while. And I just subscribed to Bloglines Which I now have about 100 blogs that I will keep track of and Bloglines makes it so much easier to do that. So if you are new here leave a comment, and if you have a blog please share it and I will come check it out.

I am always exceptionally excited when we receive a comment from our clients past present and future. Oh yea, and that also includes family members who keep track of us.

And a Thank you to the regular bloggers, visitors, and commentors, you guys ROCK!

Carly and Jared - Engagement Session

Next up, meet Carly and Jared. These guys were willing to do anything for pictures, even climb into the stream at Memory Grove. The water was freezing, but they were total troopers. They wanted a night session as well, so after shooting at Memory Grove, we headed over to Romano's Macaroni Grill and had a delicious dinner. Then it was back out for the night session. You will notice the night shots by a blue wall. Well I was about to have them sit on a curb and noticed the shaped of a bug where the video light was hitting. I thought it was a cricket, but when I shined my light where it was sitting, noticed it was a hideous cockroach, and he was not alone, lol. He had 20 friends with him. We quickly finished and headed to another location. So yeah, nuff said... Here are my favorites.

Sarah Bridals - Night Session

So the same night as Lindsay and Jonny's engagements session, I met up with Sarah for her night bridal session. We had a rockin' session that started out at Memory Grove, then finished in downtown Salt Lake City for the night session. Sarah's friend Elena came along and helped out with holding my video lights :) Check out the awesome shots we captured.

Lindsay and Jonny Engagement Session

Here is an engagement session I shot for Lindsay and Jonny :) These guys were referred to me by Mallorie and Matt. When I saw the yellow and blue outfit scheme, I knew we had to head over to my secret yellow wall with the blue windows. The temperature was hot hot hot and so was the couple as you can see :) Sorry about the number of photos, I had a really hard time picking a favorite.

Anica Bridal Session

So the day after Tim and Camilla's wedding, I shot some bridals for Anica who is getting married in 10 days :) We shot at Memory Grove and her dress was smokin' hot. I can't wait for their wedding at the Heritage Gardens.
