Emily

Last night I shot some senior photos of Emily in SLC. It was a busy day for me because I shot family shots and then immediately after did Emily's senior session. It seems like all I ever shoot these days is Northridge seniors, lol. It all started with Sarah and her 14th birthday photos. One of her friends from church saw the photo and had to have me do her senior photos, then one of her friends saw hers and now I have done a whole circle of friends from Northridge. We had a blast shooting last night, Emily is such a gorgeous girl. She wants to go into fashion and is moving to San Diego in August to attend the University of San Diego. Here are some of my faves and her slideshow.

Alissa and Joseph

On Saturday, I drove down to Manti to capture the wedding of Alissa and Joseph. It was a very long drive, but a relaxing and beautiful drive. I always enjoy long distance trips as it gives me time to reflect on many things in my life. It was such a beautiful day and the sky was beautiful and blue. I was so excited to see Alissa and Joseph as we had only spoken on the phone a few times. They live in Maryland and came down to Manti to get married. Over the phone, Joseph explained that they he designed Alissa's dress and the rings were custom designed and meant a lot to them. I loved the uniqueness of the dress as Alissa came out of the temple, Joseph did a great job designing it. They were such a fun couple and she didn't stress at all about her dress getting dirty as they wanted fun, unique, and sexy shots. One of my favorites is the shot in the hotel doorway in a passionate embrace with the Manti Temple in the window reflection. Thanks so much for sharing your special day with me.

Ryan

I have been busy busy busy with so many shoots lately, so I apologize about not posting in a while. Last Thursday right after Audrey's session, I shot some senior photos of Ryan who also attends Northridge. I have just become the family photographer with me shooting his sister Brianne's wedding last December and his sister Heather's wedding coming up in June. Ryan plays lacrosse at NHS. Here were a couple of my favorites.

Audrey

Last night I shot senior photos for Audrey. Her mom had called on Tuesday and we set up the appointment the very next day. They both saw Sarah's portraits that I did (see below a couple posts) and absolutely loved them. So we met at the Union Station in Ogden for the session. Audrey is very talented, she has played the cello for 6 years now, and when we were shooting with the cello, two train station employees came to watch hoping to hear some music, and Audrey was kind enough to play them a little. I had a blast shooting. Thanks for choosing me as your senior photographer Audrey.

Katie

Yesterday, I shot some senior photos for Katie. Katie is a blue eyed bombshell and was so fun to photograph. We started out in SLC at a place called Kilby Court. They hold concerts there for a lot of local bands, and she spent many a night there. It was cold and windy, but we managed to get some great shots. I love the fact that she chose a location that reflected her personality. I think shoots go so much better when the location has a significant meaning to the person. We then finished the last shots at my studio in Layton. Here were a couple of my favorites.

Robin and Doug

On Saturday, I shot a wedding for Robin and Doug. Doug was the best man of Dustin and Wendy's wedding that I shot last year. During Dustin and Wendy's wedding, we did a shot of Doug and Dustin with their backs to the camera and them grabbing each other on the bum. Well when Robin and Doug met with me to talk about me doing their wedding, I jokingly told Doug the only reason they wanted to hire me is because Doug wanted an excuse to grab Dustin's bum again. Dustin and Doug have been friends for 14 years and during the toast, I heard a lot of funny funny stories about their adventures together. It was so cute because as I was shooting the getting ready shots, Robin asked about how handsome Doug looked, and Doug asked about how Robin looked. Congratulations Robin and Doug and have a fun honeymoon.

New website coming soon!!!

Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks for the launch of my new website with new features including Featured Weddings, and a more elegant layout. It will also have a better testimonial section. I just got an email from Kristie today, and it totally made my day.

"Dustin,

I love, love, love my photos! I love the one's where I am laughing--I had so much fun! I was so comfortable and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better photographer! My mom watched the slideshow and cried, I guess that's what mom's do though. I wanted to show Kory so bad (I am bad with any secrets or suprises) but I want him to be surprised on the wedding day.

THANKS AGAIN!

Kristie"

Kristie

Wow, I am speechless on these ones. Kristie is so beautiful and her dress was absolutely stunning. I don't think I have ever had so much fun on a bridal shoot. We were laughing and got along so well it seemed like we were old friends. I couldn't have asked for a better bride. Kristie is such a sweetheart and Kory is one lucky guy. One of Kristie's closest friends Shirleyann Garcia came along and did an amazing job on her makeup. If anyone needs a makeup artist for your wedding, give Shirleyann a call, you won't be disappointed. 801-336-6185 After seeing 1/10th of my favorites, check out Kristie's slideshow.
